Molly Brown’s Avoca Lodge Presents to the Public for the First Time “The Lost Portrait” of Colorado’s Unsinkable Margaret Brown
The Lost Portrait “original” is held by the Molly Brown Summer House Museum in Denver (aka Avoca Lodge). It is the first known photograph ever taken of Margaret and considered a work of art as the dress is actually drawn in by hand. We believe she was 19 and it’s very likely a Wedding Portrait.
This photo was taken before her life unfolded to become one of the most famous women in American history.
